Experienced Psychiatrist and Educator Shulamit Glaubach, MD

Shulamit Glaubach, MD, treats individuals from the age of 3 to adulthood. She treats individual patients as well as persons with relationship difficulties. These include but are not limited to couples, siblings and family issues. There are times when Shulamit Glaubach, MD's primary role is to provide ongoing guidance for the parents of a child being treated by another therapist or psychiatrist when indicated. Before establishing her San Francisco office in 2006, Shulamit Glaubach, MD, treated patients as an independent practitioner in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Glaubach previously served as a staff psychiatrist at Catholic Community Services, the Seattle Children’s Home, and Western State Hospital in Washington State. In addition to her clinical experience, she is a skilled educator who has spoken on a range of health-care issues as a visiting lecturer in New York’s Personal Touch Home Care, Inc. She also taught staff persons at Friends of Youth in Redmond, Washington which promotes emotional stability and self-sufficiency for children. Dr. Glaubach stresses a child's sense of self-worth is a key component to any individual's mental health. She helped the staff and parents to understand how to go about promoting a good sense of self-worth. Griffin Home for Boys, which is part of Friends of Youth located in Renton, WA is an additional facility she lectured at.

Shulamit Glaubach, MD appreciates the fragility of a growing child especially a child that has experienced trauma, abuse or neglect. The ability she has to understand these diverse complications makes her a strong leader in her industry and has not only benefited her patients, her patient's parents (or foster parents) but staff at multiple organizations as well.

Shulamit Glaubach, MD authored the first chapter of Medical Management of the Violent Patient, "Positive Mind Over Negative Matter," a textbook edited by Kenneth Tardiff, MD, and published by Marcel Dekker, Inc.
